Here’s a quick crash course:

• Matte: Matte paper has no surface finish, so the ink seeps deep into it. Because the ink sinks into the paper, you will lose a little bit of contrast, saturation, and detail compared to glossier options. Prints look more hand done, less “printed”, and do not have reflections or shine. Matte prints are the choice if you’re displaying the art piece in a bright room, or looking to avoid reflections and fingerprints.
• Lustre: lustre is the middle option. It reduces fingerprints and scratches compared to glossier counterparts, so it’s great for high traffic areas. Portraits and landscapes look great with a luster finish.
• Glossy: Glossy finishes are what you’re used to seeing when you get photos developed – they have the gloss shine over the image. While reflective, these add vibrancy and contrast that work great for prints that you want to see the contrast and colors pop. They are highly reflective, so best displayed without glass over them.

TLDR:
